Homework: Chapter 6 Score: 0 of 1 pt 37 of 41 (3 6.6.95 f(x)-log 2 (x + 14) and g(x) = log 2(3x + 2). (a) Solve f(x)-4. What point is on the graph of f? (b) Solve g(x)= 3. What point is on the graph of g? (c) Solve f(x)-g(x). Where do the graphs of f and g intersect? (d) Solve (f + g)(x) = 7 (e) Solve (f-g)(x) = 1. (a) The point where f(x)-4 is (Type an ordered pair.) Solution

f(x)=log2(x+14)

a.log2(x+14)=4

   x+14=24

x =2

b. log2(3x+2)=3

3x+2=23

x=2

c.log2(x+14) =log2(3x+2)

     x+14=3x+2

     x=6

d. log2(x+14) + log2(3x+2)=7

(x+14)(3x+2)=27= 128

x=2

e.log2(x+14) - log2(3x+2)=1

    (x+14)/(3x+2)=2

x+14=6x +4

x=2
