5) 4* (4+x) = 5 (3 + 5). Therefore 16 + 4x = 40. 4x = 24. Therefore x = 6

6) 5* (5+x) = 6 (6 + 4). Therefore 25 + 5x = 60. 5x = 35. Therefore x = 7

7) 5 * (5 + x) = 10 * 10. Therefore 25 + 5x = 100. 5x = 75. Therefore x = 15

8) 9 * (9 + 7) = x * x. Therefore x2 = 144. x = 12.
