The climate will change dramatically in the next 100 years with rising temperatures, CO2 levels, and O3 levels. How will plants adapt to these changes.
Solution
The climate is definitely changing rapidly with rising temperature, rising carbondioxide levels and O3 levels. The plants are trying to adapt but if the global warming progresses at this rate, it is researched that around 18% of plants would be in extinction by the year 2050. However, the ways in which the plants would adapt are as follows:
· Changing the lifecycle of plants: plants may start to grow and also bloom earlier in spring and try to survive longer into fall.
· Plants try to migrate to higher elevation or to farther north to locate to suitable places to grow where it might be much cooler.
