I have the Process Technology Troubleshooting book for my class. I have tried to scan the bar code into my app, but it will not recognize the bar code. Can anyone explain to me why this is happening?

The common reasons a barcode font don’t scan.

1. Data of Barcode is not encoded using a font encoder. Barcode fonts require an additional step to ensure that the created barcode is scannable unlike fonts such as Times New Roman, Arial, and Courier New. Data must pass through a font encoder or font tool in order to create a scannable barcode.

2. The barcode may not scan, if the barcode quality is poor.

3. There might be problem with the applicattion. Make sure if the app is able to scan other bar codes.

4. Other option is to scan with some other app. Still if it\'s not scanning, it will be problem with the barcode.
