Let suppose % marks needed = X

Finally he should get 50 % marks.

50 = (44 x 50 + 56 x X) / (44 + 56 )

50 x 100 = 2200 + 56X

56X = 5000 - 2200 = 2800

X = 2800 / 56 = 50 %
