ETHICS Violence in Video Games Does the video gaming industry have an ethical obligation to produce games that have less violent and addictive content? Gaming has become a method of entertainment, with at least half of the individuals that you meet having tried to play one at least once. But is it really entertainment? Entertainment is an act that should relax people and take their mind off their troubles. Some people who play for hours do not seem to be getting entertainment in the traditional sense of the word. Watching some \"gamers,\" as they are called, you might see signs of frustration and irritation. Some games have activities that are not legal in the real world, for example, stealing or abuse of another individual. Consider these questions: Is the difference between the ethics in the real world and the gam- ing world one of the problems with serious gaming? Is it possible for an individual to transfer the rules of the gaming world into the real world and begin to exhibit these unethical behaviors in his or her real life? Is it possible to become addicted to the gaming world environment and stay there for longer and longer periods of time? How should games be rated so that parents can distinguish violent games from ones that are entertainment? Should the gaming industry change its strategy and develop games that encourage a healthier mind-set-one that promotes the ethics of a nonviolent society?

Video game violence is one of the major issue now a days. Games are made for entertainment but the game maker took games to the different level which involves pretty much amount of violence and addictive content. These types of games are not at all mind relaxing and entertaining. People use to apply these gaming rules in their real life, specially the children\'s who try to learn violence from the games. Gaming industry should change their strategy and develop games that encourages healthier mind set.
