Here in the case of basis {a,b} we see that vector a (which is in vertical direction) is in direction of vector P.

Where vector b is in horizontal direction which is perpendicular to vector P. a is along basis (0,1) and b is along basis (1,0)

as we have a=(0,2) ^T and b=(3,0)^T

we have p= u + (1/2) v -------------(A)

and u = (-1,2)^T and v= (2,2)^T, putting in A

we get

p=(0,3)^T

p=(3/2) (0,2)^T
