The point-normal equation 2(x+1)+y+(z-w)=0 goes through the point P is normal to n. What are P and n?
(A) P(-1,0,2), n=(2,1,1)
(B) P(2,1,1), n=(-1,0,2)
(C) P(-2,-1,-1), n=(-1,0,2)
(D)P(1,0,2), n=(2,1,1)

Solution

2(x+1) + y + (z -w) =0

This is not correct form as it in R3 there would be three variables and no \'w\':

So, 2(x+1) + y + ( z- 2) =0

Normal n = ( 2, 1, 1) and point P = ( -1 , 0 , 2)

We can with norma n = (2,1 ,1) only corrrect option could be for P = (-1, 0, 2)
