In the figure below find the following Let e m f1 260 V e m

In the figure below, find the following. (Let e m f1 = 26.0 V, e m f2 = 13.0 V, and R = 19.0 .)

(a) the current in each resistor

(b) the power delivered to each resistor

Find the potential difference across each resistor in the figure below. (R1 = 5.20 , R2 = 3.80 , R3 = 2.60 , R4 = 1.60 )

I1 = A
I2 = A
I3 = A

Solution

(A) Applying KVL in upper loop:

E1 - 28i1 + 12i2 - E2 = 0

28i1 - 12i2 = 26-13 = 13

28i1 - 12i2 = 13 . .......(i)

KVL in lower loop:

E2 - 12i2 - RI3 = 0

13 - 12i2 - 19i3 = 0

12i2 + 19i3 = 13 .........(ii)

Applying KCL ,

i1 + i2 - i3 = 0 ....(iii)

from i, ii and iii,

i1 = 559/1096 = 0.51 A

i2 = 117/1096 = 0.107 A

i3 = 169/274 = 0.617 A

(B)

for 28 ohm :   P1 = i1^2 R1 = 0.51^2 x 28 = 7.28 W

for 12 ohm: P2 = 0.107^2 x 12 = 0.14 W

for R : P3 = 0.617^2 x 19 = 7.23 W

In the figure below, find the following. (Let e m f1 = 26.0 V, e m f2 = 13.0 V, and R = 19.0 .) (a) the current in each resistor (b) the power delivered to each
