Find the equation of the line having a slope of 4 and a yint

Find the equation of the line having a slope of 4 and a y-intercept of (0, 3)

Show ALL work please

Solution

Solution:
Slope of the equation is = 4
Y-intercept = (0,3)
By using point slope form -
=> (y-y1) = m(x-x1),where m is the slope and (x1,y1) is the given points.
=> y-3 = 4(x-0)
=> y-3 = 4x + (4).0
=> y-3 = 4x + 0
=> y-3 = 4x
=> y = 4x + 3
