Must respond to peer discussion in 200 words substantively at the graduate level. Arguments are welcomed as well as sound affirmations. “After reading these articles I am more aware of the gaps in my current screening potential employees processes and have an idea of some assessment types that would be both beneficial and time saving. We have a lack of detail when it comes to behavioral and personality screens with my current role, the current is focused on skill level. This could be a reason we have had a higher than normal turnover. In addition, there are some apparent areas in need of attention, both in culture and growth opportunities. I feel there is always room for growth within but maybe we are not clearly presenting it to our employees. I would like to develop a growth plan that allows employees to see their future with our company”.

The gap between the organization expectation and the employees skills can be a major drwaback for the growth of the organization.This gap can be reuduced only when the right employees are hired for the right job.The employees must be tested during the interview itself.The test should assess whether the candidate would be the right fit for the job.The assessment must be made at the entry level itself and then the candidate must be hired for the job.So that at the first level itself ,the gap between employees skills and the organization expectations can be reduced.So when right persons are hired for the right job ,employee turnover can be reduced.
Growth of an employee is a learning process.So the employees can be given training to shape their skills and knowledge for their nature of work.But basic skills for the current role should be possessed by the employees while hiring.Without any skills that is fitted for the current role,the gap would be a larger one and the organization cannot be a successfull one.So right persons must be hired but later training can be given to them to mould them and gain experience.But the employees should have that learning skills.
Not onlythe skills of an employee should be tested,but the candidates personality and behaviour for the job should also be assessed.Some personalities triats may not fit for particular jobs so personality tests can be conducted before hiring.
Eventhough right candidate is selcted for the right job with all these assessments done,there can be a gap.So the top management and the leaders should guide them in an effective way for the growth of the individual as well as the company.Effective leaders should create vision and lead the employees in the right direction towards the organization\'s goals.Leaders must clearly state the organization\'s culture,goals and direct them accordingly.
All these assessment and trainings must be given to an employee so that employees can see their future with the company and they stay committed to the organization and value the organization.
Growth plan is not an essential one.Effective leaders and proper assessing methods for hiring is the best solution to reduce the gap of organization expectation with the skills of an employee
