Solution

Octal represent a 8 digit system. So if the exponent is 1, then total numbers (posiitive and in decimal) taking all such 8 digits will be 8! = 8 x 7 x 6 x 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 = 40320

Thus total 40320 suchnumbers can be formed.
