In an all-male workforce, would you hire a woman salesman even if the men may not receive her well? Yes or no and why or why not.

Solution

It mainly depends on whether the woman wants to work in the company even after knowing that it will be an all-male workforce. If the woman is ready to join the company then I will make sure that she feels comfortable and secure after joining the compnay. For any company, talent is important not the gender or religion so, I will definitely hire a woman for the sales role.

In sales, the group required is very minimal so the woman doesn\'t have to interact with the male employees much to complete her work and it also doesn\'t mean that there will not be other other women in other departments in the company. So she will feel secure and not left out even though she is the only woman on the sales team. In sales, most of the employees work as individual contributors so she can just concentrate on her and excel in it to grow in her career. I will make sure that she gets all the required information and tools to complete her work in a productive way. I will also arrange the transportation for her safety and be flexible with the timings if she is married. The men in the team will also get used to it and they might start being nice and supportive of her. So do not hesitate to hire just because she is a woman and it is an all-male environment. We need gender equality at work and always support women who are hardworking.
