Solution

Most interesting aspect of Lung cancer is that Tumors can come into lungs from any part of the body that is already affected by main tumor..Tumors can be transported into lungs through blood or through lymphatic system. The cancer of any other part of body can also spread to lungs by transfer of such tumors from the diseased organ to lungs. Small tumors can accumulate in the outer region of lungs at various places.

(a) Cancer development starts with mutation in a cell. Due to mutation, the cell becomes incompatible in regulating its usual cell cycle. The cell differentiation and cell-to-cell interaction also slows down. Due to this, the cell gets abnormal in architetcure and arrangements. The cell division also occurs abnormally resulting into atrophy, or hypertrophy, dysplasia, or hyperplasia. Mutant cell continues to grow in uncontrolled manner. Environmental agents like chemicals, Radiations or Viruses may damage DNA in normal cell. And can fail the cell\'s repair mechanism.as well. Mutation in somatic cells can activate growth promoting oncogenes and can inactivate tumor suppressor genes.Overall process will result into altered gene products and Tumors.

(b) Cancer can be of various types according to the organ affected. But the biological mechanism remains same that includes mutation and uncontrolled division in cells in unorganised manner that may initiate other mutations as well.

(c) Lung cancer:

Causes may be cigarette smoking, or adenocarcinomas that occurs to non smokers due to tumors spreading from some other cancer affected body part to lungs. Pollution or exposure to harmful radiations like X rays, inhaling radioactive gases like radon, exposure to chemicals like arsenic, asbestos, beryllium, cadmium etc.

(d) Prevention: taking unprocessed and uncanned food in diet, washing fruits and vegetables before eating, filtering tap water, take more green veggies and water, and use mobile less frequently.

(e) Treatment: includes surgery to remove affected part at initial stage, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, immuno therapy, targetted therapy, stem cell transplant etc.
