Microsoft Corporation, is a United States anti trust law case, in which Microsoft Corporation was accused of holding a monopoly and engaging in anti competitive practices contrary to sections 1 and 2 of the Sherman Anti trust Act. The charges determined whether Microsoft\'s bundling of additional programs into its operating system led to monopolistic actions. This led to the browser wars which resulted in collapse of Netscape, top competitor of Microsoft, when Microsoft began giving its browser for free. The Department of Justice (DoJ) accused Microsoft of abusing monopoly power.
