OK – scheduling is an essential part of our lives, and we must balance many items in preparing our daily schedules – work, school, families, and hopefully a little “us” time. What are your priorities when making your own schedules? How do you keep track of everything? Do you use a scheduling tool (I use my Outlook Calendar) or do you just “wing it?” Discuss how you keep it all together!
Solution
While making schedule, I divide the work under two buckets and put it under category:
Example:
Office is one category. The two buckets are: Urgent and Non Urgent. So, the list has details like:
Urgent:
Non Urgent:
So, the bifurcation is basis the importance of work
The other category includes Family, Self
The priorities are always highlighted basis the bucket. Since we have only 24 hours in day, I make sure to allot time for each category. Like Work is 9 hours, Family 3 hours, Self 2 hours. So, it helps me to complete the important ones in each category
In order to keep a track, I have a stick notes for each category and Bucket list. This helps me to keep all that in front of me and strike off when it is completed. So, list gets modified everyday
