Write the equation of the line use slope interception 3 2 1

Write the equation of the line (use slope -interception) (3, 2) (1, 4) Find the slope (4, -5) (-1, 7) find the x and y-intercepts of 3x+ 2y = 15 Write the equation of the line parallel to y = 3x - 1 and passes through (2, 1).

Solution

1. points are (3,2),(1,4)

Slope ,m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1) = (4-2)/(1-3) = -1

Point slope form is

y-y1=m(x-x1)

y-2=-1(x-3)

y-2=-x+3

y= -x +5

2. points are (4,-5),(-1,7)

slope , m= (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)=(7+5)/(-1-4)=-12/5

 Write the equation of the line (use slope -interception) (3, 2) (1, 4) Find the slope (4, -5) (-1, 7) find the x and y-intercepts of 3x+ 2y = 15 Write the equa
