This situation relates to designing a new product-package that will provide the benefits of the traditional products as well as meets the new-style and packaging meeting the needs of the attractiveness and aesthetics as demanded by the younger customers.
To do this the company needs to gather the data about the preferences and designs preferred by the younger customers. To do this the company followed a two-way approach. It organized a promotion and interviews some of customers to analyze the trends and preferences of the customers. At the same time, the company took the contact number of the people to research via phone.
Interview was conducted to access the basic needs and prepare detailed questionnaire as well as it provides to reframe the questions in a real time gaining more insights. Once the data and questionnaire was finalized, the company increased the number of samples by asking questions over phone to save the cost.
