Solution

Suppose acc. of block A is a then acc. of block B will be 2a.

on block B:

7g - T = 7(2a)

7g - T =14a ........(i)


on block A:

2T - 7g = 7a

T - 3.5g = 3.5a ......(ii)

(i) + (ii) = >

7g - 3.5g = (14 + 3.5)a

a = 1.96 m/s^2


acc. of block B = 2a = 3.92 m/s^2

and direction is downward.
