Locate a genocide that has happened or is happening now. Provide brief details. In your opinion, has the international community been effective irn dispersing information, educating nations, and preventing genocide? Why or why not? Solution

The genocide that is happening today is genocide of Rohingya Muslims in Burma. They are desendents of Turkish origin whom Burmese buddhists consider foreigners and are hell bent on killing these foreigners. Since they are Muslims the voilence has religious character also.

No international community has not bean successful in dispersing information, educating nations and thus preventing genocide. International community except few Muslim countries like Turkey have hardly talked about this issue. Neither was there any boycott of Myanmar.Nor have there been there any sanctions or military intervention. The major powers have just paid lip service.
