Even after having good monitoring systems in place security breaches occur. The organizations need to develop their strategy on how to address these security breaches. Many security breaches occur due to the improper configuration of security devices and lack of understanding on the processes. Hence the policies and procedures should be clearly established and enforced. The chances of vulnerabilities should be assessed and all the computer systems and network devices should be checked on routine basis. The network traffic and system performance should be monitored and analyzed and the backup and restore procedures should be analyzed.
