Following is a graph showing two distributions weekly income

Following is a graph showing two distributions weekly incomes of employees working in the same industry. The means and standard deviations of the two groups are also given. Estimate which of the two means and which of the two SDs belong to each group of students

Solution

Group A has a smaller mean than group B.

Thus,

Mean for group A = 530 and for group B = 690

For standard deviations, we see how wide the bottom is. Wider the bottom, more is the Standard deviation

Thus,

Group B has a larger std.dev than that of Group A

S.D ( A) = 70,

S.D (B) = 150

Thus, finally,

Group (A) : Mean = 530, S.d = 70

Group (b) : Mean = 690, S.d = 150

Hope this helps.
