The area of a triangular window is 90 square meters The base

The area of a triangular window is 90 square meters. The base of the window is 15 meters. What is the window’s height?

Solution

We need to use the formula for area of a triangle.

Area = 1/2 * base * height

90 = 1/2 * 15 * height

to get rid of 2 from denominator on right side, we need to multiply both sides by 2

so 90 * 2 = 1 * 15 * height

==> 180 = 15 * height

To find height we need to divide both sides by 15

Hence height = 12

Hope this will help you.
