Based on Covey\'s model, the tasks are divided into 4 quadrants based on their importance and urgency.

The tasks which are important and urgent are a part of first quadrant which include the regular duties and responsibilities of an individual. These need to be done on urgent basis for short term results. \"Doing your duty\" tasks come under this quadrant.

The tasks that are important but not urgent are a part of second quadrant and these include the new ideas and innovations such as product service, client services etc. These tasks need not be urgent but are important.
