The company that i have selected is Microsoft. The reason behind my selection is that Microsoft has a strong history and is one of the most valuable technology company in the world today. The mission of the company is to enable people and businesses throughout the world to realize their full potential.

SWOT analysis of Microsoft:

Strengths: Microsoft was the pioneer in the field of operating system and enjoys a strong brand royalty and has a robust brand equity. Its operating system - Windows - is used globally and has wide acceptability.

Weakness: The company is highly dependend on hardware manufacturers to sell their operating systems. The company is also losing relevance as it is slow to innovate and other operating systems are gaining market share.

Opportunities: The IT ecosystem is moving towards the cloud based services. Microsoft can tap this segment and offer innovative systems and products to cater to this new segment. Microsoft had bought Nokia in the past and this can be leveraged to explore opportunities in the mobile device segment.

Threats: Increased competition from other technology companies is a constant threat.
