During translation initiation, eIF-2 binds to GTP which then binds to
| A.60S ribosomal subunit | |
| B.40S ribosomal subunit | |
| C.eIF-1 | |
| D.methionine initiator tRNA | |
| E.start codon |
Solution
D.methionine initiator tRNA ....
the ternary complex of eif2 + GTP+ initator trna .... then binds to the 40S ribosomal subunit
but question just says eif2 + GTP binds to .... so the more appropriate option would be initator trna as that is the next step after GDP-GTP swap....
Hope it helps regards ...
