I am a recent undergrad graduate with a BS degree in Applied Mathematics, and am going to take the CAT exam within 6 months.
I want a 100th percentile. I need a mentor so if anyone is interested, then I am beseeching you to email me as soon as possible.
I really need the help.
Moreover,
1. I noticed some of the reading passages are based on articles (?) and wondering which newspapers/articles to read religously?
2. I am very much lost in mathematics, and I definitely need to review math concepts (syllabus) books to learn?
3. What are the vocab words you should know for the CAT exam:
a) Words you must know
b) How many vocabulary words you must know
c) High frequency words
d) Medium frequency
e) Low frequency
f) Other techniques or methods to know all vocab words
4.What are the novels you should read for CAT 2016- 2017 for the reading passages?
I want a 100th percentile to get into an MBA school. It is a dream of mine which is ready to come true.
Solution
Please break the problem, i have answered your first two problems. Thanks
1) For the answer to the question 1
For general news, refer to the Hindustan Times and The Hindu, these two papers will help you to improve your vocab and also will help you to no new words which will be helpful in clearing the english exam
For business news, you can refer economic times and for knowledge about current afairs, you can check the outlook magazine
2) The Quant section in the method covers basic maths of class 7th to 10th with focus on aptitude problems and DI
The DI or Data Interpretation section is based on how fast you can calculate or perform the basic operations like add, sub, divide and multiply
In my opinion go through the basic maths from the NCERT text books and practice quant and aptitude from previous year papers to have better understanding
