Assembly Programng

Why do we need to know the registers and the flags in any computer architecture in order to write assembly language programs?

Solution

Answer:

Assembly language program is a programming language where we deal with directly hitting the hardware of the computer for programming,so the programmer must be aware of the architecture of the computer where all the flags and registers exist and in which way they will be operated such a way that data transfer can takes place with in the registers by the programming so that the data can be stored and the flags are set for the operations when required such as overflow, underflow etc.Sometimes it may lead to crash the computer if the programmer is not aware of the system hardware and try to run the programs for performing any of the services or operations which helps user in executing the application. Also it is a difficult process of performing programming in assembly language because in many cases it leads to error if the location of register and flags are not known completely which writing assembly language programs.
