If the rate constnat for I + I--> I2, k=7 x 10^9 at 23 C.

A) determine the time for 100 Pascal of I to react in this 2nd order forward reaction.

B) Estimate teh rate constant for the reverse, first order dissociation reaction using an estimte for Ea adn teh same Arrhenius pre-exponential as for the forward reaction at 298 K

C) Given the results of B), use the equilibrium constant K obtained using values of delta G naut to compute the activation energt for the forward reaction. Does this value seem consistent with the thermodynamic data?

D) Sketch the reaction coordinate versus energy for this reaction (potential energy surface).
