Describe the differences between y = f(x) + c and y = f(x + c) when each is compared to y = f(x). How does the appearance of the graphs differ?

Solution

In y=f(x) +c, the graph shift by c unit upwards because of the addition of c outside the function. In y=f(x+c) , the graph shift to left side by c units because of the addition of c inside the function.

Both of the transformation do not change the shape of the graph.
