9 Below Use the points shown on the graph to find the slope of the line. Select the correct choice below and, if necessary filin the answer box to complete your choice. O A. The slope is O B. The slope is undefined.

Solution

9) The line passes through two points

(4,-4), (-3,2)

Slope of this line when related to form is y = mx+c

y-y1 = y2-y1/x2-x1 (x-x1)

y-2 = -4-2/-3-4 (x-(-3))

y - 2 = 6/7 (x+3)

y - 2 = 6x/7 + 18/7

y = 6x/7 +32/7

So, slope is 6/7

10) y = 4x+3

Slope of this line when related to form is y = mx+c

Therefore slope m = 4

11) 3x +y = 4

this can be written as

y = -3x + 4

So, slope here is -3

12) -3x -5y = 4

rewrite it as

-5y = 3x + 4

y = (-3/5)x - 4/5

So, slope is -3/5
