(a) DIstance travelled between t = 1 sec and t =9.6 sec

S(t) = S(9) -S(1) = 3*9.62 + 3.6*9+2 - (3+3+2) = 299.28

total time taken = 9.6-1 = 8.6

Average speed = total distance travelled in the span of time / total time in that span

= 299.28 / 8.6 = 34.8
