I have listened that video, i am going to explain as simple that i can do

There are six thin wires that is fixed inside a wood. Each wire is given specified value as follows :

See wires from left

a.) First wire = 5³ = 125

b) Second wire = 5² = 25

c.) Third wire = 5⁰ = 1

d.) Fourth wire = 5^-1 = 0.2

e.) Fifth wire = 5^-2 = 0.04

Such that wires are named as 125 th, 25 th, 1 st , 0.2 th ,0.004 th respectively

For, example, we need to comvert 100 base 5 to \'x\' base 10 ,

So, look at 100 base 5, 1 is at third left most in 100 , so we need to drop circular clip or ball on the wire which is at third position to left from 1st wire ( having value =1 ) , i.e 1st wire is at first position , 5th wire is at second position and 25th wire is at 3rd position, so, circular clip or ball will fall at 25th valued wire at third position whose value is 25, So, value of \'x\' is 25.

100 base 5 is converted \'25\' base 10
