Exactly 4500mL of an aqueous solution of strontium hydroxide

Exactly 45.00mL of an aqueous solution of strontium hydroxide required 32.0mL of 0.200M hydrochloric acid to neutralize it. What is the concentration of the strontium hydroxide solution?

Solution

Sr(OH2) + 2HCl ---> SrCl2 + 2H2O

Mmoles of HCl = 0.200M*32mL = 6.4mmoles

2 moles of HCl is neutralised by = 1 mol of Sr(OH2)

6.4 moles = 6.4/2 = 3.2mmoles of Sr(OH2)

Volume = 45mL

Concentration = 3.2mmoles/45mL = 0.07M

Exactly 45.00mL of an aqueous solution of strontium hydroxide required 32.0mL of 0.200M hydrochloric acid to neutralize it. What is the concentration of the str
