What is the most effective strategy for collecting resources
What is the most effective strategy for collecting resources (search engines, metasearch engines, online or brick-and-mortar libraries) for a research paper, and what influenced your choice to utilize these resources?
Solution
The art of resource collecting has evolved and changed a lot with time and human beings have also came a long a way regarding resource collection. Initially if were look at the process we will notice that books and manuscripts were the only reliable resource available as search engine and metasearch engine were something will not available. Today we have observed that online sources are the most convenient and we tend to rely on them a lot but there are instances where it has been observed that these sources are not always reliable. In order to collect resource for a research paper even if online sources like search engine and meta search engine are convenient I would choose online libraries, Brick and mortar libraries are the best it is not at all convenient because we need to visit the place and in order to access the books we have to avail a membership or something like that. Online libraries on the other hand are convenient and rich in resources like the physical libraries and even if we need to avail a membership we can do it conveniently even from our mobile phone. Online Library can be mentioned as the virtual replacement of brick and mortar library because the books are different and the mode of transaction are different. In Physical libraries there are hard copies while in online libraries there are soft copies and people now prefer soft copies because there is nothing to carry and it can be accessed anywhere and everywhere. The trend of reading is changing with online libraries and it is changing very fact and the cost of eBooks are also less than hard copies and organizations are promoting eBooks more because they earn a more margin and there is also a environment factor which they advertise by stating that save trees. The convenience of online libraries influenced me more than brick and mortar libraries.
