Overview:
A non-profit health care organisation Alegent health in Omaha, Nebraska has its 7 hospitals and they have in total near about 2000 beds, 200+ clinics and outpatient locations, 1200 physicians and more than 7,500 employees other than physicians. In the past, the organisation recognised that there is the HR issue as the acute care treatment. The turnover rate was increased with the unfilled position. In order to deal with this problem organisation has come up with the employee retention task. This increases the employee satisfaction. Because of the efforts made by the organisation, the organisation turnover rate decreases with the decrease in the unfilled position in the organisation and won many awards and recognitions. Apart from the retention task they also follow several strategies. They showed by the program that how they have been retained the force.

The case presents the situation of Non-profit organisation changes with time and its strategies for the change. The purpose of the case is to provide awareness about the HR issues which prevails in the organisation and how it has impacted the whole organisation in terms of success and development.

The problem associated with the case actually identified and solved but the changes in the working environment, technology, equipment’s usage or in equipment itself, etc. would needs more focus. This intends origin of the problem in later stages so the organisation would have the strategic plans to deal with these situations in advance. The organisation should have the team which would take care of these issues. The team would gather the information, analyse the situation and then shows the results on the specific time period basis. Every organisation has the HR department. As the Human resources are the main source in the organisation. The Human resources issue would be also present. The issues related to the salary, promotion, recognition and rewards, training and development, practical training visits or tours etc. would affect any organisation in terms of the success rate. The profit organisation has the loss in terms of money as well as reputation whereas the non-profit organisations have the loss in terms of the operation mainly. So, I have gain the knowledge from the case that the proper management of the HR issues in the organisation would benefits in the large aspect to the organisation.
