A spoon is a utensile which is used to intake any type( solid or liquid) of food. A handle is there to hold it in hand very comfortably and one of it\'s end consist a ovel or round shaped small shallow bowl. Spoons are also used in preparation of food, to measure ingredients, to mix them, to stir it and serving the food. Present day spoons are made up of plastic, porcelain, silverware and some metal alloys like stainless steel, aluminum etc,. The design of the spoon is based on the load that can be lifted by it. The length is designed according to human handling comfort. Based on the load need to be lifted, the thickness and area of shallow bowl may be designed. The manufacturing process which is producing this spoons primarily is punching which is a sheet metal operation. The main parameter here is the force applied to produce spoon from the blank which ultimately depends upon the selection of spoon material which inturn selected by load need to be carried by the spoon.
