Why would bacteria such as Streptomyces species evolve the a
Solution
1. Bacteria live in an environment where they have to compete for nutriton. Therefore to avoid competition, Streptococcus like species produce toxins which are harmful to other bacteria.
2. Disinfectants or antibiotics which work on the agar plate will work in real life too. Because, agar is a medium to provide a growth condition to bacteria which is almost same to the natural components where the organisms will grow. so , if the organism show any zone of inhibition on the agar plate wiyh the disinfectant or antimicrobial agent, it shows that the bacteria is sensitive to that particular disinfectant or antibiotic.
5. Antibiotic misuse or over use causes the antibiotic resistance. some antibiotic misuse includes,
a. Treating a viral fever with antibiotic.,
b. Taking oral antibiotics istead of antibiotic ear drops in case of ear infection and eye infection.
c. Misinterpretation and treatment of eczema with antibiotic.
d.Antibiotic treatment of viral or yeast vaginosis.
These antibiotic misuse causes unwanted health issues along with antibiotic resistence.
