3a)In a triangle, the largest angle is twice the smallest angle. The difference between the smallest angle and the middle angle is the same as the difference between the middle angle and the largest angle. How many degrees is the smallest angle? NOTE:The angles of a triangle total 180 degrees

Solution

Let the smallest angle be s degree
then largest angle = 2s degree
Let the middle angle be m degree

From difference between the smallest angle and the middle angle is the same as the difference between the middle angle and the largest angle.
m-s = 2s-m
2m = 3s
m = 1.5 s

Sum of all 3 angles = 180 degree
so,
2s + 1.5s + s = 180
4.5 s = 180
s = 40 degree
Answer: 40 degree
