Yes I agree that collective bargaining in the public sector is anti democratic. It is no different than private sector and there are policy reasons for the authorization of private sector unions. There is unequal bargaining power and there are negotiations between employers and individual workers. This results in working conditions and there are rise in compensation usually below the public policy standards.
There can be focus put on its improvement and this can be passing the legislation for the law and meeting the desired standards or passing legislation which allows workers in the industries for bargain collectively.
