Solution
1) Law of conservation of Matter: Matter is neither created nor destroyed, so we must have the same number and type of atoms after the chemical chnages as were present before the change.
2) Physical property is the characteristic of the matter that is not associated witha a change in its checmical composition. Ex: density, color, hardness, meltingand boiling points, electrical conductivity.
Chemical Property can be measure only by changing the chemical identity of the substance. Ex: Toxicity, flammability, Enthalpy of formation, heat of combustion.
a) Silver conducts an electric current : Physical property
b) Hydrogen burns but doesnot support combustion: Chemical Property
c) Mercury had a density of 13.6 g/mL : Physical property
d) Sugar dissolves in hot cup if tea: Physical property
e) Diesel fuel burns in a truck engine: Chemical property
