Determine the intervals on which the function is increasing

Determine the intervals on which the function is increasing, decreasing, or constant. Increasing on (-8, -6) and (-2, 0), Decreasing on (-6, -2) Decreasing on (-8, -2); Increasing on (-2, 0) Increasing on (-8, -2), Decreasing on (-2, 0) Decreasing on (-8, -6) and(-2, 0); Increasing on (-6, -2)

Solution

we know that increasing mean when value of x and y both go low to high .

and decreasing mean when value of x goes low to high and y goes high to low.

now we can see in graph it from -8 to -6 it mean value of y also is increasing.and also inceasing -2 to 0.and it decreasing (-6,-2)

it mean our answer will be 1st that is increasing on (-8,-6)and (-2,0),dereasing
