Chick fil a is closed on sundays. Is it wise management or irresponsible activism? discuss
Solution
Chick-Fil-A is closed on Sundays based on their policy to take rest after working continuously for six days. I would consider this as wise management because as the customers are so much committed towards food from Chick-Fil-A restaurants and would be eagerly waiting for the restaurant to open on Monday. The employees who get one day to rest and spend time with the family would be more committed towards the organization and would try to deliver maximum value to their work. This improves the food and service quality and this strategy can never be considered as irresponsible activism. Still Chick-Fil- A restaurants open on Sundays when the community demands. For example, they opened to prepare free food for people impacted by tornadoes in Texas. By adopting this strategy they are able to build good image in front of the public and hence the closing of the restaurant on normal Sundays is a wise management strategy.
