Introduction

Policies are priniciples, guidelines and rules which are followed by an organisation to reach its long term objectives which are accessible to every one .These policies are differ from one organisation to another organisation. These policies mostly formulated by middle management of the organisation., , theseare deals with thoughts and actions .These are decided long term activities of an organisation, these are compulsory adopted by an organisation, without policies, company can\'t run successfully.

Strategy means a plan or method to reach predetermined objectives of the organisation. Every company should formulate strategies continously to sustained in the market for long periods .These strategies are useful to set the goals for individual employees and organization. These are provide clear path to reach success point and useful to integrate various organizational activities and explain the way to utilise the resources in most efficient way. While planning a strategy companies has to think about present situation and estimate the results in future, these strategies Jenerally formulated by top management of the organisation. These strategies are useful to take appropriate decisions and helps to avoid threats of the organisation.

Body

In business world, both strategies and policies have great role, these two words are consider as similar in some cases and consider as different words in another manner. Strategy means plan of action and policy means guidance to take decisions. There is great relationship between policies and strategies, both are defined as key factors of success of every organisation. For suppose, strategy is a way to reach some destination which is useful to reach organisational objectives and policy like blueprint for that way, , whichis useful to decide all the activities and provide guidelines.

Policies helps in answering questions like what to do, , how to do a task in particular situation. In other words, we can say that policies are designed and formulated to support strategies main similarity between strategies and policies is that both of them are set at the top management level of an organisation.

Conclusion

Finally, we can say that, there is a strong relationship between policies and strategies. Policy made to support strategy and strategy useful to define clear plan to achieve objectives of the organisation. These are similar in some way and different in other way but to run organisation both are required
