volume of trapezoidal prism = 1/2 x (a + b) x h x l

     a and b are length of parallel sides.

h – Height

l= length

= 1/2(20+3)*13*40=5980 ft3

work =(Density* Volume* Distance the layer is moved)---------------------------(1)

density is given=62.5 lb/ft3

by calculating the distance of the layer moved and from eq(1) we get the answer.
