it is stated that Few HRD professionals agree on the transferability of training to the job. What tools and techniques have you used or seen to ensure that organizational training transfers back to organizational productivity?

Transferability of training to the job means whatever the employees have learnt in training should be implemented in their work and productivity of those learning should be there.
For an example- In an organization new software was installed for better operations. Company has sent all the employees to learn to operate that software. After few days it has been seen 40% employees are still working on the old software because they were more familiar with that software.
So this was not the transferability of training to the job.
Here are some tolls and techniques which are being used for the same.
Performance evaluation- Performance of the trained employees is evaluated timely. It reflects that transferability of training to the job.
Feedback taking- It is very important that the trainers should have given proper training. Let us assume that there are 10 departments and a member of each department has trained the new employees. Now the HR manager will take the feedback of employees about those trainers and convert the feedback into feed forward to enhance the trainer’s skills.
Co-ordination with trainer and respective functional manager. - As above stated the trainer should have strong relations with those functional managers who train the employees about their respective departments.
By this way they will train the new employees very well.
Content, delivery, skill of the training - For Transferability of training to the job the content of the training should be very effective, the training skill of trainer, delivery of the content, skill etc are very important.
Too long training session- Sometimes very long training session gets boring. Employees do not have the capabilities like students to get taught like sitting in the class and listening the teacher. Employees get boar and do not listen effectively. If they are not listening then they cannot convert those learning into their action.
