Why does your body use skeletal muscles and valves to help blood flow through veins?

What is the function of capillaries?

Solution

Veins carry deoxygenated blood from tissues to the heart. The pressure of blood in veins is insufficient for its proper transport so the deep lying veins are squeezed by the skeletal muscle contraction which increases the pressure and blood can be successfully reached to the heart.

Again due to this low pressure of blood in veins, there is a risk of back flow of blood. So these one way valves prevent the back flow of blopd and help in its one way transportation.
