Case study – Trump’s ‘America first’ policies

American president in his latest World economic Forum visit come up with a policy of “America First”. This policy is about the protectionism happening in America in recent past.

Protectionism is an approach of an economic policy related to trade, where the policy is made in such a way that it restricts the trade between two countries by applying tariffs on imported goods, restrictive quotes and other regulation on trades. Such policies are applied by the government to reduce the import for the country and the emphasis is made on the home made products or the products that are manufactured in the country itself.

Trump’s such policies will impact the globalization among the various countries and trade will be impacted by such aggressive policies. Many other nations delegates stand against of this policies and set a harsh tone against Trump’s America first policy.

According to Indian Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, including other world leaders, raise concerns that with such policies, it will raise and allow the growth of protectionism which is not good for the globalization of any nation.

According to US president, such policies will grow jobs in America and the impact of this policy will make America much stronger. He implied that the foreigners in the country are seeking the jobs of local Americans in the country and by such policy it will give chance to the American’s to have more jobs in the country.

In my opinion, Donal trump is trying to favour America and thinking about its citizen first, but by doing this he is also creating a hastle in other nations and effective the globalisation in the world.
