Find the equation of the line in the figure below.

Solution

line L1 passes through point (0,3) and (4,0)

slope of line L1, m1 = (0-3)/(4-0) = -3/4

now product of slopes of two perpandicular lines = -1

therefore m1m2 = -1

m2 = -1/(-3/4) = 4/3

also L2 passes through origin.

equation of line L2 is

y = m2x

y = (4/3)x

=> 3y = 4x

 Find the equation of the line in the figure below. Solutionline L1 passes through point (0,3) and (4,0) slope of line L1, m1 = (0-3)/(4-0) = -3/4 now product o
