RTGM (Real time glucose monitoring) is a very versatile system to continuously monitor glucose in real time and send alerts to the physician based on the reading. RTGM uses a wrist band synchronized with patient\'s mobile or computer and send regular updates about the glucose levels of the patient to the central server and alerts generated are forwarded to the physician.

RTGM\'s design can be further enabled to monitor various other important parameters like breathing pattern, pulse and also blood pressure. While the question asks what kind of medical research can be enabled or better supported by the data collected of the present RTGM system. Since data only deals with sugar levels currently may not amount to any further research from medical point of view as Glucose level could be fluctuating due to various reasons like fasting or eating a high sugary diet which is not enabled on the current RTGM system.
